• About Ian Oldaker

Ian Oldaker spent three years as the Chief Operating Officer and General Manager of Spyscape, an interactive visitor experience focused on spy skills and espionage history. With the company, Ian Oldaker oversaw the opening of its flagship museum in Midtown Manhattan.

He was also involved in the construction of the museum, which took one year. After its opening, he managed activities in all departments while overseeing partnership development. Serving as a media spokesperson, Mr. Oldaker was involved in Spyscape’s public engagement program, which he helped develop. He was featured as a guest on interviews with NY1, WNYC's “All of it” with Allison Stewart, and the “Spybrary” podcast with espionage aficionado Shane Whaley.

In its first two years of operation Spyscape welcomed hundreds of thousands of visitors, spanning multiple demographic markets. Spyscape was also able to earn a 4.5 rating from visitors on Google Reviews and TripAdvisor. Ian was also fortunate to be a member of the Broadway Alliance partnership group with Spyscape’s midtown’s neighbors.

Ian Oldaker has a bachelor of arts in history from Loyola University in Maryland. He subsequently earned a Master of Fine Arts degree in Acting from Brooklyn College - CUNY as well as a Master of Science degree in Global Affairs from New York University.
